Run by Maven’s local investment team, who have two dedicated Investment Managers for each sub-region they operate in, the clinics will support local businesses from across Cumbria, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Cheshire and Liverpool City Region.

Events will run on the following dates below between 10am - 2pm and businesses will be allocated a timeslot when they sign up for a meeting.

Maven ensure the widest range of businesses can access, use and benefit from the clinics to improve their financial awareness and confidence, meaning more North West businesses are investor ready. Each business will register for a time slot with their local investment manager who will provide bespoke support and discuss their business and growth needs.

Appointed by the British Business Bank in February 2017, Maven has invested over £40 million of the £81 million worth of equity finance it manages for the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund, working with the Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) and Combined Authorities in the North West. Maven has completed over 100 investments ranging from £50,000 to £2 million and has also successfully leveraged an additional £68 million in private sector finance for local businesses since the Fund’s launch.

“We understand the importance of proactively providing localised support, and our investment team has considerable knowledge of the local SME market. We are well-equipped to deliver 1-2-1 sessions tailored to the individual growth needs of businesses based across the North West and look forward to meeting more ambitious management teams.

“Maven has been a key player in providing a range of funding and investment readiness since the Fund’s inception and we continue to reach out to businesses and help boost access to equity finance. The Fund’s positive impact on businesses in the North of England is already evident, fuelling the growth of ambitious SMEs across a wide range of industries, and supporting job creation across the region.”
