Finance Durham exits threat intelligence platform Intelligence Fusion

The Finance Durham Fund, established by Durham County Council, overseen by Business Durham, and administered by Maven, has completed an exit from threat intelligence firm Intelligence Fusion via a sale to Sigma7, a rapidly scaling global risk services company. Cavu Corporate Finance advised both parties on the exit which provided a profitable return and was in-line with expectations.

Maven led the initial investment in 2018 and since then, the security and situational awareness specialist has achieved an encouragingly positive cash flow which has been used to grow its staff from 2 to 30, as well as further develop its propriety product, generate sales, and drive commercial growth.

Sigma7 sought to purchase Intelligence Fusion for strategic reasons, including the incorporation of the latter's cutting edge technology into its comprehensive risk services platform.

The global requirement for military grade human and cyber intelligence will always be of high pertinence. Intelligence Fusion has the knowledge and software tools readily available and this is a top priority to combat the threat of security incidents adversely effecting organisations that are continuously emerging across the globe.
