Maven investee company, London-based ISN Solutions (ISN), has acquired Skibo Technologies (Skibo), an Aberdeen-based IT solutions provider. The acquisition is highly complementary for both businesses, as they service different segments of the oil & gas market with no client overlap.
The acquisition will provide ISN with a substantial foothold in the North East of Scotland, a region where the firm had recently started to establish a presence and which enables ISN to significantly expand its customer base in the oil & gas services segment, where Skibo had successfully been servicing a wide range of business. ISN will continue to specialise in providing IT infrastructure to exploration and production companies operating in remote and hazardous field locations.

Headquartered in London, ISN offers a range of IT services to its clients; from the day to day administration of outsourced systems, including remote monitoring and a service desk function, to much higher level strategic advisor and project management roles which often involve the design and installation of the entire ICT infrastructure.
Since Maven’s investment in 2014 ISN has actively set out to grow its share of the IT market in Aberdeen and the collaboration with Skibo is a further part of this strategic plan. Skibo offers a range of IT solutions from upgrading client’s current infrastructure to providing dedicated on-site support, and has the capabilities to deliver these services outwith the UK, having designed, commissioned and supported infrastructure solutions in overseas locations such as Brazil, Australia, the USA and the Far East.
