Ryan Bevington and Jonty Hall, from Maven’s Manchester office, were in attendance at the North West Insider awards to pick up Venture Capital Team of the Year 2012. This accolade follows in quick succession to Maven being recognised with a range of recent awards and nominations including UK Small Buyout House of the Year 2012 at the ACQ Global Awards and the “unquote award for VCT Exit of the Year 2012.

The judges had said awarding the win to Maven was an easy choice as “Maven goes from strength to strength. It was a comprehensive entry and demonstrated a company that is well thought of.”

Earlier in the year Maven’s Manchester team had led the MBO of Vodat International from its founder Mike Bielinski in a £5m transaction. This transaction saw the Ryan and Jonty pick up their second award of the night as the MBO of Vodat won Technology Deal of the Year. Vodat, which provides managed network and communications solutions to business and retail customers, is now one of the fastest growing providers in that sector.

Ryan Bevington, Investment Director at Maven said “It was great to receive recognition of our hard work over recent times, not only due to completing new investments but particularly following a number of successful exits over the past year. We are keen to keep up this momentum and are actively seeking new investments for our funds”
