Michelle joined Maven in May 2020 and is based in Nottingham, covering the East and West Midlands. She is the focal point for portfolio monitoring across the Maven MEIF team, focusing on tracking the performance of portfolio companies, ensuring a consistency of approach across the team, monitoring of ongoing loan covenant compliance and contributing to the provision of reports to fund investors.
Prior to joining Maven, Michelle spent 32 years in the banking sector working for Santander, RBS and NatWest in the Corporate, Commercial and SME arena. During her career, Michelle has managed diverse portfolios of business relationships and more latterly worked in Credit Risk providing detailed analysis, credit risk monitoring and management and helping to structure funding solutions for local businesses. She is ACIB qualified.
Outside of work Michelle enjoys walking, cycling and family time and has a keen interest in all things gardening related including growing fruit and veg at her allotment.
Managing the quality and consistency of the Midlands MEIF portfolio where we have lent to a diverse range of SME businesses can be challenging but the most rewarding part is being able to make a difference in those cases where I have direct involvement with the management team and who need additional advice and support.
